The Spanish Prosecutor’s Office has requested two and a half years in prison for Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio and three others, per Cadena Ser.
The Spanish central defender and three former Real Madrid players are accused of distributing a sexually explicit video recording involving a minor.
The prosecutors accuse the Real Madrid defender of two crimes against the privacy of two young women, who had sexual relations with three former teammates of Asencio, 22. His former club mates, Andrés García, Ferrán Ruiz, and Juan Rodríguez, face four years and seven months in prison for distributing child pornography.
The three players are accused of filming and distributing to third parties their sexual relations with the two young women without their consent. While one was 18 years old, the younger of the two women was a minor.
At the time of the incident, she was only 16 years old. Asencio, however, allegedly did not participate in the sexual encounter, but requested the video to show to a friend.
The prosecutor believes that his behaviour cannot go unpunished, although the criminal penalty cannot be equivalent to that of the other three defendants.
The filming of the sexual encounter took place, per the report, in the private area of a beach club in the Canary Islands in June 2023.
Asencio joined Real Madrid from the club’s B division in 2024.
